Audit Trail

Every import and sync, on record. Useful for audits, useful for debugging, useful for the moment someone asks "what happened to last Tuesday's upload?"

Nothing disappears silently

Every spreadsheet upload and every QuickBooks sync is logged automatically - no setup required. If a row was skipped, you can see exactly why. If an import ran three hours ago and someone wants to know who triggered it, the answer is one click away instead of a Slack thread.

Built for the questions that come up later

A skipped row records the specific field and reason - a customer name that didn't match, a missing date - so fixing it is a matter of correcting that one cell and re-uploading, not re-checking an entire file line by line. Sync history works the same way: date range, entry count, duration, and status for every run, so if a dashboard number looks off, you can trace it back to the sync that produced it.

Frequently asked questions

What does the timesheet upload log show?

Every upload is recorded with the filename, date, the user who uploaded it, and a breakdown of how many rows were imported, duplicated, skipped, or failed.

Can I see why a row was skipped?

Yes. Skipped and failed rows show the specific reason - such as a name that couldn't be matched in QuickBooks - so you don't have to guess or re-check the whole file.

Does the audit trail cover QuickBooks syncs as well as uploads?

Yes. Sync history is logged separately with the date range requested, entry count, duration, and status for every sync run, alongside the timesheet upload log.
